Fire Rated Doors
Fire-Rated Steel Doors That Satisfy Every UK Regulation
UK building regulations demand clear fire containment, and our range covers every recognised class. E30 models, the go-to choice for domestic projects, feature a 40mm frame with 20mm glazing bars and hold back smoke and direct flame for half an hour. Stepping up to EI30, EI60, or EI90 extends that protection window to 30, 60, or 90 minutes, with bar widths increasing to 40mm and glazing thickness scaling from 8mm to 16mm to absorb higher temperatures. Every component, including hinges and hardware, is steel, and toughened safety glass is fitted as standard across all ratings.

Nobody Wants a Fire Door That Looks Like a Fire Door
The challenge with fire-rated products is that they often end up bulky, heavy, and visually out of place. CKI takes a different approach, engineering doors that carry full E and EI certification while retaining the slender profiles and clean sightlines of our standard range. Single and double leaf configurations are available, each customisable to suit the surrounding architecture. Occupants and visitors see an elegant steel door; building control sees a fully tested fire barrier. That balance between regulatory compliance and design integrity is what sets our fire-rated collection apart.
Double Hinged Steel Doors for Wider, Bolder Transitions
Generous openings call for paired French doors, and our range covers every variation: sidelights, transoms, combined side-and-top panels, and full-height screen walls. Curved options include fully arched frames or rectangular doors topped with an arched transom. Hinges, handles, glazing bars, and frames are all fabricated in steel, with toughened 6mm safety glazing throughout and laminated glass available to order.
